Live plants are an easy, cost-effective and stylish way to breathe life into any bathroom.

Greenery and plants provide a great way to transform a mundane space into a zen oasis. Many indoor plants also have amazing air purification benefits as well, so all you really need to get started on a whole new feeling in your bathroom is knowing which plants will not just survive, but thrive, in your space.

To get you started, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite plants that you can introduce to your bathroom:

1. Air plants

These are one of the most durable plants that can withstand humidity and require no soil. Basically: You can’t screw these up, even if you try.

2. Bonsai Tree

Known for being able to survive centuries, bonzai trees are a beautiful addition your washroom and will help you get that totally zen feeling.

3. English Ivy

As much as these plants would love the excess moisture from your bathroom, they also require direct sunlight. Therefore, make sure you’ve got a bright bathroom with windows that are large enough to provide all the sunshine needed to keep your ivy in great shape. (Not to mention a beautiful backdrop for a shower with lots of sunlight!)
