Breakfast in the Backyard

The weather is getting warmer and we’ve been spending more time outside playing, going for family walks, and eating meals in our backyard, including our favourite meal of the day, breakfast!

During the week I keep it simple but on the weekends I love to serve a variety of fresh and delicious food including croissants, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, cured meats, yogurt and cereal.

I serve everything on The Meridian Outdoor Dinnerware Collection from Kitchen Stuff Plus. It’s reusable, highly durable, lightweight and perfect for Breakfast in the Backyard!

I love to serve everything on a large tray like the KSP Fun In The Sun ‘Terrazzo’ serving tray because it creates a beautiful centrepiece for the table and helps me carry everything in and out of the house!

I add extra dishes on the tray to keep food separate like the adorable KSP Melamine Fish Bowl or this DIY cake plate I made using the KSP Meridian Bowl and KSP Meridian Side Plate. To make, simply turn your bowl upside down and place the side plate on top! A dinner plate would work too!

Because my kids are always spilling their drinks, I serve our breakfast beverage in a durable tumbler like the Savannah Acrylic Tumbler from KSP. The tumbler is weighted to prevent tipping and made with break-proof acrylic.

Enjoying a family meal together in nature is a wonderful way to start any day. Keep it simple with cereal and toast, or make it fancy with a variety of food. Either way, enjoy your time outside together eating Breakfast in the Backyard.
