Christmas Movie Marathon Essentials

christmas movie night essentials

Well, it’s that time of year again. Every Christmas, I find myself getting irrationally excited about one thing — not the presents or even the food, but the movies!

You have to admit, Christmas movies are some of the best out there. Whether you’re a fan of the old classics like Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer or Home Alone, or you’re a total sucker for Netflix’s so-bad-they’re-good offerings like The Princess Switch or Holidate, every Christmas movie marathon should have a few key items. Here are my top picks from Kitchen Stuff Plus for getting cozy and festive for my favourite holiday hits.

Now before we get into my favourite finds from Kitchen Stuff Plus, I wanted to share their super convenient and easy-to-use Click & Collect service for safe and easy shopping this holiday season! Simply shop online from the comforts of home, select your preferred pick-up location, wait for your email confirmation and pick-up at your chosen location! It’s as easy as one – two – three!

Now… onto the good stuff!

Christmas Movie Marathon Essentials

Comfort Foods

First thing’s first — every Christmas movie marathon should be super indulgent, so whip up your favourite comfort foods and beverages. Relax, and enjoy your pizza or macaroni and cheese in front of the TV to get your evening off to a delicious start. My go-to movie sweet treat during the holidays? Hot chocolate, of course! Kitchen Stuff Plus carries a wide variety of hot chocolate. I personally tried the Gourmet Du Village Single Serve “Irish Cream” Hot Chocolate and it was so incredibly rich and creamy! Exactly what a hot chocolate should be.

Popcorn

No movie marathon would be complete without a generous helping of popcorn. I love using the Nostalgia Electrics Vintage Popcorn Maker for movie nights. This adorable, old-school machine looks like something straight out of It’s a Wonderful Life

I tried the Wabash Valley Farms Popcorn Tube, as it produces cinema-style fluffy, delicious popcorn. The kernels pop in a butterfly shape, which means they are extra good at soaking up your toppings. Who else adds a generous amount of butter topping?!

A Cozy Throw and Pajamas

At Christmas, it’s the perfect time to hunker down and snuggle up in your coziest clothes. Make your evening extra luxurious with the KSP Sherpa Buffalo Check Fleece Throw. I love the soft feel of this throw — it’s perfect for wrapping up in during a holiday flick! Plus, the rustic, Canadian vibe always transforms my living room into a festive rustic paradise.

I always make sure to look the part too! I love getting extra comfortable in my cozy Christmas PJs for a festive movie night. As far as I’m concerned, the bolder and brighter the patterns, the better! Go all out, and soon enough, you’ll be feeling more Christmas-y than ever.

A Hydrating Face Mask and Massaging Foot Warmer

I love combining my movie nights with some self-care! If you’re anything like me, you may find that your skin gets extra tight and dry during the colder winter months. For your indulgent evening of self-pampering and festive cheer, throw on a hydrating face mask to nourish your skin, and re-moisturize after a day out in the cold. Trust me, your skin will thank you later!

I also recently tried the Ultra Plush Microfleece Massaging Foot Warmer — I know, a “massaging foot warmer!” Talk about indulgent. If you find your feet getting chilly during the winter evenings this super luxurious, soft electric foot massager will keep you feeling super cozy all evening long.
