There’s nothing like putting on Christmas music, turning on the fireplace and decorating the table for Christmas dinner. And, while we may not be able to have our extended family over for the Holidays this year, we can still make our immediate family table look beautiful.
Today we’re sharing a Modern Cozy Holiday Tablescape in partnership with Kitchen Stuff Plus. I love the Christmas selection at Kitchen Stuff Plus, so many different looks and styles; They really are the go-to destination for Christmas! Plus their Click & Collect process is super quick and easy (perfect for shopping during these weird times).
As with any great design, a great tablescape needs a focal point. Something to draw your eye in and give you that feeling of “wow”. Sometimes it’s the centrepiece or the place setting. For this modern cozy holiday tablescape, we decided to make our focal point the table runner – more specifically the ends of the table.
To create this unique runner we used two plaid tablecloths and one light grey tablecloth from from Kitchen Stuff Plus and tied them together with oversized knots. Then we used some twine to make a garland with some trimmings we found in the backyard. We layered various types of spruce, cedar and magnolias leaves onto the garland and heavied up the greens on the ends. Finally we tied a few lanterns onto the twine to complete the modern cozy look.
The place setting is neutral but wonderful! We used white scalloped charger plates, linen coloured rippled stoneware plates and some snowfall holiday accent plates all from Kitchen Stuff Plus.
