Cozy up this year and host your nearest and dearest around your table for a Friendsmas; Christmas with friends! There is nothing better than making lasting memories with your closest friends over good food, flowing drinks and sing-a-longs to your favourite holiday carols (the more out-of-tune the better)!
To help you plan the ultimate Friendsmas this year, I’ll be sharing some ideas on what to serve and how to serve them. Hosting can be overwhelming, but Kitchen Stuff Plus has made life easier by curating all the holiday essentials a host would need to create a memorable night that will have guests reminiscing about years to come!
The Table
There is something so nostalgic about a traditional red and green table. I used this lovely plaid tablecloth in classic colours as the base of my table setting. The champagne table chargers layered with these gold rimmed Opal Dinner Plates and Snowfall Side Plates help bring the shimmer and sparkle we want for the holidays.
The centerpiece was kept simple since the plaid tablecloth is a beautiful, bold print. I used pine garland, acorns and cream coloured candles pulled from the colours of the White Berries Napkin Rings. The napkin rings added the final touch to these beautiful green napkins. I love that they are machine washable too!
Let’s Eat!
The key to being a good host is keeping your guests wined and dined. Serving up bite sized and easy, snackable apps gives your guests delicious options that will have them reaching for more. It’s also easy to keep your guests holly and jolly with this fruit filled holiday sangria in these gorgeous stemless wine glasses.
What to serve
Marinated olives are a great snackable choice and so simple to make in advance. I love using these Christmas Gleam Bowls for the olives since you can easily move them around the table when needed.
Phyllo wrapped feta with sesame seeds and honey is an incredibly easy appetizer that has the perfect blend of sweet and salty. It’s always a favourite in my home and looks beautiful on the Snowfall Platter. I like that this platter also has some smaller sections to add extra toppings for the feta app!
This antipasto wreath starts with this festive cutting board paddle. I added rosemary sprigs and antipasto skewers that circle around the board like a wreath to make this fun holiday appetizer!
This two-tiered buffet stand is such a versatile piece. You can use them for cookies, cheeses or even fruit! I included some fresh fruit and cheese on mine because a get together isn’t the same without a ton of cheese options!
Enjoy your night!
When you get too caught up in hosting, you can blink and the entire evening is done. This year, when you host your Friendsmas, pre-plan your evening and head over to Kitchen Stuff Plus (or shop online for curbside/delivery) so you can collect, set up then relax, knowing you and your friends will have a great evening with good food and drinks in a beautifully festive setting.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!
