Kitchen Stuff Plus Thrilled To Win Award For Excellence In Retail Marketing

bts campaign

We are so honoured to have won the Retail Marketing award at the 2018 Excellence in Retailing Awards Gala on Tuesday night in Toronto.

In a particularly tough category with 18 nominees, including submissions from Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Ikea and Roots, we were extremely proud to take home top honours for our “Acing the Back To School” campaign, along with the Thrifty Foods campaign submitted by Sobeys Inc.

Our Back To School campaign was based on finding ways to help busy parents find fast, easy and genuinely helpful solutions for a hectic time period that is unique to each family.

Building out personas based on different styles of how kids like to eat their lunch, we were able to tap into relatable themes for parents while offering solutions to streamline their routine.

This campaign was created by the in-house marketing team at Kitchen Stuff Plus, along with additional social support from local influencers on social media and marketing initiatives that included contests, videos, recipes and quiz content.

We are so proud to be recognized for our multiplatform approach to retail marketing this year at the Excellence in Retailing Awards, which also honoured so many other great brands and people in our national retail community.

Fresh off the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Ben Mulroney hosted the evening, which presented 12 awards to top retailers in Canada as part of the Retail Council of Canada’s STORE 2018 conference. This year’s awards featured 73 finalists in total, from 39 of the top retail companies in Canada, all competing for honours in categories that celebrate the growing reach of retail, including pop up stores and e-commerce.
