Some say the kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s where people gather early morning before the weekday rush or where families relax on a Sunday afternoon.

With spring just around the corner, it’s the perfect excuse to get your kitchen a clean. Keep reading for our cleaning checklist to get your kitchen spring ready!

Collect the clutter

Anything that doesn’t belong in your kitchen should be put away. Throw away garbage and make a pile of items that need to be put away in other parts of the house.

Empty out your cupboards and give them a wipe

If you haven’t deep cleaned your kitchen in a while, it’s hard to know what you’ll find but it’s important to remember that it’s nice to start fresh with a clean canvas.

If you find any weird sticky spots, try using a goo cleaner. They’re great for removing glue residue, sap, crayon marks, and even stubborn stickers and labels!

Wipe down kitchen surfaces

After that, it’s time to get your hands a little dirty. Cleaning off your other kitchen surfaces like a stove top and kitchen sink will give you the perfect refresh you deserve.

Use a specialty cleaner to get the job done right the first time. We carry sink cleaners, stove top cleaners, and even cleaners for countertops and stainless steel appliances. There’s also something to remove those pesky sink scratches, too. 😏

Does it spark joy?

This thought process works for more than just your clothes. Go through items and really think about what you and your family use. What can you donate? What should be tossed? It’s crucial that you use your kitchen storage wisely and only keep products that you use and enjoy.

Take care of what you want

Once you’ve finalized what you want to keep, give them a little extra love before you put them away. Take time to take care of items like your pots, pans and cutting boards to prolong the life of your favourites.
